CM Revanth reprimands MLAs

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed discontent with Congress MLAs regarding their ineffective approach to governance and their tendency to publicly discuss party matters.
During a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) held at a hotel in Shamshabad on Tuesday, the Chief Minister emphasised that the MLAs' behavior would not be tolerated if they continued to speak freely about internal party issues.
He voiced concerns about the conduct of numerous MLAs, noting that none of them were utilising social media to highlight the developmental works and welfare initiatives being carried out by the Congress government.
The Chief Minister criticised the MLAs for failing to counteract negative narratives aimed at the government and pointed out that some MLAs were neglecting their constituencies and spending most of their time in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy urged them to refrain from engaging in politics solely on weekends.
Revanth Reddy stated that there should be no uncertainty regarding ministerial positions, affirming that the party leadership will manage the situation. He warned MLAs to be cautious, as all their remarks are being recorded.
The Chief Minister also gave directions to Congress MLAs on taking the government welfare schemes to the people and suggested that activities should be planned so that MLAs can visit constituencies from April 17 to June 2.
He highlighted the long-term benefits of distributing quality rice to the people and advocated for improving the accessibility of the 'Bhu Bharati portal' for farmers.
Revanth Reddy also emphasised that the Indiramma Housing scheme serves as a national benchmark. He noted that the BC caste census has addressed a longstanding issue, as the government has introduced legislation to ensure 42 percent reservation for BCs. Additionally, he mentioned that the government has enacted the SC Categorisation Act to provide a permanent resolution for the sub-castes within the SC community.
The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being burdened by the initiatives from Telangana and that the categorisation of Scheduled Castes has become an obstacle for the BJP.
"The Telangana development model is a topic of conversation nationwide. Both the BJP and BRS parties have misrepresented the Kancha Gachibowli lands using AI technology and have disseminated negative propaganda about the Congress government," he added.
